Second Adventure
In the next session, we invaded a Progenitor (another Technocracy branch) lab hidden behind a downtown pharmacy to obtain a cure for a virus that was attacking werewolves, because Fabian had been attacked and injected with a virus that suppressed his Mage abilities. (I tell you, Fabian is a trouble magnet.) The werewolves had the cure for Fabian and were offering a trade.
On the first attempt to obtain access through the pharmacy the other players learned that the direct approach (pulling a weapon) was likely to met with another weapon. I told them “Subtlety, gentlemen, subtlety,” when I walked up to the pharmacist, snapped my fingers several times in his face and called him by name to get his attention, and rolled seven successes to Mesmerize him. After that, getting in was easy. The others infiltrated the lab and managed to steal the records, and were only discovered when they entered the lab itself to steal an actual sample. They managed to escape the lab by wedging the connecting air lock door open. In return for my assistance I obtained the ‘special’ derringer described below.
