‘Mistaking the Dragon Mage’
This piece is the first book cover I created, for my short story ‘Mistaking the Dragon Mage’. It combines several elements: the background is a picture I took of the sunset out my back door. The starscape above was supplied by various Photoshop brushes from Obsidian Dawn. The photograph is of myself, wearing the signature silver dragon ring that is mentioned in the story: the photo was taken by my friend Rex Joyner and was modified by a gradient fade.
