New Year’s Resolutions for 2014

With the New Year, it is traditional to make various resolutions for the coming year. Plus, I do need to set some goals for the year, at least for the first half. Therefore, these are my New Year’s Resolutions for the year 2014.

  • Release the videos from the 2005 Nebula Awards DVD, in particular the Neil Gaiman toastmaster speech and the Kevin O’Donnell and Anne McCaffrey award recipient speeches. What I need to do is finish massaging the copyright and credit pages and convert the video files into something the video editor can handle.
  • Write more publishable fiction and sell it.
  • Publish the old fiction I wrote and sold years ago. I published one story already and just need to format the others and create the cover artwork for them.
  • Produce audio versions of the old fiction. I have a good radio voice so this would be an interesting experiment.
  • Become proficient in at least one new programming language, most likely Java for the Android platform, plus becoming more proficient with HTML5 and jQuery.
  • And speaking of languages, add more languages and Unicode character sets to the Unicode Character Keyboard plugin I wrote.
